The Anti-Talent Show
2019/2020
An event that celebrates failure. The contestants of the Anti-Talent show were asked to perform something that they are bad at but love to do. The idea being that collective failure is better than failing alone. I wanted to give a comment on the performance driven society that we live in today, where everything is focussed on succes and achievement. It is very refreshing to do something that you are not good at, and enjoy doing it.
UPDATE:
During the start of the pandemic in 2020 I made a rebooth of the anti-talentshow to spread some joy and togetherness. This time i used instagram live as my platform. I encouraged my viewers to send in their anti-talent act and be featured in next weeks episode. I did this consistently for 7 weeks in a row.
